Fire-Rated Ductwork Insulation
Specialist fire-rated ductwork insulation using 90mm ROCKWOOL FIREPRO® DuctRock, with an additional 60mm DuctRock strip at every duct joint.
About this project
SR Thermal Services Ltd completed the specialist fire-rated insulation to the ductwork using 90mm ROCKWOOL FIREPRO® DuctRock, installed in accordance with the project specification. The installation included FIREPRO® Glue to all required joints, 95mm welded insulation pins and retaining washers, together with additional pigtail fixings to edges for secure mechanical fixing. At each duct joint, the 90mm insulation was supplemented with an additional 60mm-thick DuctRock strip, with the same additional treatment provided around support and bracket locations. All joints, transitions, supports and changes in ductwork were carefully cut and fitted on site to maintain a continuous fire-rated insulation system and provide a high-quality finished installation.
